The Beast With A Billion Backs is the second Futurama film of four. It’s scheduled June 24 but it’s already available through various distributive networks. Being a major fan of Futurama I couldn’t resist downloading and watching it, so here are some preview screenshots. And please buy The Beast With A Billion Backs – once it’s released – on DVD. A proper review will follow on this site, once I find the time.

Every episode starts with a different introduction slogan. This is something Matt Groening also does with The Simpsons, where Bart writes something different on the blackboard every time.

The Simpsons also has a different couch gag every episode. Futurama’s introduction always ends with the Planet Express Ship flying into a large screen showing a vintage cartoon. This time it actually flies into the screen and we get to see what Futurama would have looked like a century ago.
Fry’s new polygamous girlfriend Colleen is voiced by Brittany Murphy.

All My Circuits’ Calculon also makes an appearance or two in The Beast With A Billion Backs. It turns out, his fourth different personality is blackmailing himself…
