Futurama: Bender’s Game Screenshots

Ah, finally! The third movie of Futurama (screenshots for the second movie The Beast With A Billion Backs are also featured). Despite the name it is not just about Bender. Although, everything revolves around Bender. “Bender, a turtle isn’t yourself. Why do you care about it?”

The movie starts with a psychedelic introduction after the ship flies into the big screen.

We all live in a yellowALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!

The movie title refers to Bender’s Dungeons & Dragons Game. At the end of Obsoletely Fabulous (4ACV14) Bender states: “Reality is what you make of it.” Amen. But it turns out, he has no imagination. Also, a shocking secret of Ignor (Mom’s third helper) is unveiled!

There probably is or will be a Youtube video of the movie’s Scary Door episode, but it probably is or will be deleted soon. Besides, Youtube’s quality is crappy and you cannot enjoy it at work. So here’s a transcript of the Scary Door (War of the Worlds) from Bender’s Game.

Imagine, if you will,
an announcer you can barely understand.

He refers to a…

But you’re not quite sure what he said.

He seems to be eating something,
or perhaps he’s a little drunk.

It’s remotely possible that he just said something about
The Scary Door.

- “Firing, sir!”
- “It’s all over. Our guns and bombs”
- “are useless against the aliens.”
- “The saucers! Theys are crashing!”

In the end, it was not guns or bombs that defeated the aliens,

but that humblest of all God’s creatures…

the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Machina ex Deo, instead of Deus ex Machina. Made me giggle.

To be honoust, when Bender’s Game got all fantasy (about halfway through), it became a little too obvious a parody of The Lord Of The Rings. Still, the movies are a nice addition to the Futurama realm and a nice variation to my days of rewatching all episodes.

Frydo! Saddle up that trusty steed.

Alas, Frydo's weakness was no match for the dice's strength.
