Butters (b3ta, Youtube) heeft een nieuwe animatie gemaakt over een schattige eekhoorn. Zijn simpele stijl, gecombineerd met een uitstekende timing en bloedvergieten maken zijn animaties bij mij zeer gewaardeerd.

Monday Monkeys Stop-Motion

b3ta’s Rob Manuel did some more stop-motion animations for JibJab. The subjects are ordinary things like ‘going to work on Monday’ and ‘Happy Birthday’, but Rob and his co-creators are very good at freely associating.

Best Of Pown.it

Pown.it, formerly known as pown.alluc.org, is a good way of wasting at least a few minutes of your time a day. Just click ‘random’ and stare fascinated at an animated loop. Unfortunately, the site doesn’t have an index, so you’ll either have to let Pown.it randomly choose a clip for you, or trust the ‘top rated’ list. Why some of these are considered ‘five star comedy gold’ is beyond me. Therefore, I made a list. This way you can see some funny Flash movies and it provides a mini index for people searching Pown clips with Google, perhaps? So, in no particular order here are some of my favourite Flash clips from Pown.it:

HappyToast’s Animation mix

You all know and love Cyriak’s Animation Mix, of course. And, assuming you do, you’ll love this animation compilation made by HappyToast too. Happy Toast has made a lot of animated gifs for b3ta. Each animation is a realistic piece of fluent 3D work, mostly made from normal web images.

Androgynoel Wasn’t Posted Here Yet

Nor was it in this week’s b3ta newsletter, so HappyToast is pissed off (marvelous and stunningly realistic special effects, really!). Of course I can’t change the newsletter, but I can feature the video clip here. It’s an animated clip for a band named FDA and the song is called Androgynoel.
I wish everyone looked more like Noel Fielding…

The CSI Plot Generator
2008
B3tans c_cick and The Great Architect have made CSI Plot Generator. All the plots turn out surprisingly real, and funny.
A rodeo star in a public swimmingpool is killed in cold blood by an 18 year old computer whizz from Ohio, with a corrugated cardboard briefcase. The victim was found tied to a fencepost. After carefully rebuilding a 300dpi image of the perp from the reflection in a gold tooth using MS Paint, the perp is caught. The vic and the perp had no relation but were both obsessed by Lego.
